Barnyard Grass Stress Triggers Changes in Root Traits and Phytohormone Levels in Allelopathic and Non-Allelopathic Rice

چکیده
Despite the growing knowledge concerning allelopathic interference with barnyard grass, little is understood regarding competitive physiological mechanisms of interaction between rice and herbicide-resistant grass. A hydroponic system was employed to investigate root morphological traits different phytohormonal changes in non-allelopathic cultivars when co-planted quinclorac-resistant -susceptible respectively. The results show that shoot biomass were greater PI. Barnyard grass stress induced an increase PI at 7 14 days co-culturing Especially under increased by 23% 68%, respectively, 37% 34%, In terms morphology, exhibited a significantly higher fine-root length, diameters <0.5 mm, number tips, longer tips compared LE. response consistent SA JA content. obvious accumulation observed two stress, amounts significant decrease auxin (IAA) abscisic acid (ABA) content detected from co-culture stress. Additionally, highly positive correlations found content, tip length 0–0.5 mm rice.

Invasive species can show substantial genetic variation in ecologically important traits, across ranges as well within the introduced range. If these traits affect competition with native species, then management may benefit from considering the genetic landscape of the invader. Across their introduced range, Alliaria petiolata populations vary in their investment in allelopathic traits accordi...

Rice plants with an allelopathic effect on weeds can mean lower production To understand the genetic control of allelopathy in rice (Oryza costs because the need for herbicide application and/or sativa L.), quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping was performed using a population of 142 recombinant inbred lines derived from a cross hand weeding is reduced. Thus, inco...
